It was a great experience, so great that it inspired me (well, Sara really) to scrap my sermon on Mark 6.53-56 and start over. Saturday I participated in my first Pride parade, representing United Church of the Valley and the UCC as an ordained pastor who stands in solidarity with Gays and Lesbians that are too often judged and harmed by the Church instead of welcomed as brothers and sisters.
